First, make sure make is installed
ahenn@whitefly ahenn]$ rpm -q make
make-3.79.1-5mdk
It was not installed by default in my Madrake install. i had to
get it off of either the first or second cd roms.
Otherwise i hadn't had a problem redoing a kernal.
