sprint has a new wireless broadband plan(advertised on
slashdot today, i read it last week on sprints site)
that is good up to 35 miles away from chicago with up
    to 5MBps speeds.(usually around 1.5MBps) check out:
    http://www.sprintbroadband.com/what/index.html
this might be an option, but it too looks rather
    expensive.
