    ...however, I don't see how this helps with the matter at hand. As I
    understand it, he has a single public IP address, and wishes to split
    different services from that single IP address up so that, eg., FTP can be
    handled by a different host on the internal (private IP block) network.

    Speaking of which, is there a solution in place for doing that sort of
    forwarding for FTP? I have a vague notion I skimmed past something about
    that back when I was converting the simple SSH forwarding from redir to the
    2.2 internal service.

    Shucks, when I needed to do that I just added the alias's ifconfig command
    to the script. Of course, that was with a release that was still using a
    script to drive that stuff...
