    An alternative approach would be to have some program which is constantly
    running and which stores the passphrase in locked memory (which, if you're
    in a protected enterprise environment, should provide very good security).
    It would then only need to someone to type in the passphrase when the
    system started up. As an example, I believe Netscape's/iPlanet's web server
    does this with SSL keys.
