    not quite. they make a living on the code. if you really find
    the ad's that annoying then pay US$29 and buy the add-free version.
    the ads are their way of both (a) eating and (b) being able to get
    the software out for free.

    ditto for websites that have banner ads along the edges. Doubleclick
    may not be your favorite vendor, but they do manage to keep most of
    the web freely available to surfers.
