Apt-get works to resolve this issue. It should take down required, but
not necessarily recommended packages.
Try the apt fuction of, apt-cache
apt-cache search libcurses
This will return what you need.
apt-cache searches the online/cdrom db of indexed packages available.

| I've been wondering about this also. It's one of the things that I miss
| from dselect. It would automatically tell you of any recommended
| packages as soon as you selected a particular package and allow you to
| select them right away.
