    Hi All,

I just wanted to report on using VNC with Linux. Last time I mentioned that
I couldn't get it to work (although works great with windows).

I moved the executables into my /usr/local/bin and was able to get the
vncviewer to control my Win2k laptop. Worked pretty well.

I still can't control my Linux desktop from my Win2k laptop though. I get a
"socket" error. It's probably related to the same reason I can't get telnet
    to work on my box.

I removed pmfirewall (or something like that) from startup (using DrakConf),
and rebooted (old windows habit). I look at my process monitor and can't
see anything that looks like pmfirewall so I figure it's not running
    anymore.

I'm stumped as to what else may be blocking my telnet and vnc ports.

And on the "X Server" front. I have downloaded a few. They all prefer to
work with telnet, and telnet's not working. I can ssh, but haven't been
able to get any of the X Server's to work with ssh (even those that say they
    can).
