    Whoops, didn't see your smb.conf file....you're trying to use encrypted
    passwords.

    I agree with Ken's answer if you want to use encrypted passwords.

    If I were you, I would first get it to work without encrypted passwords,
    then move on to secure it once everything is working properly.
    Easier to take encrypted passwords out of play, and debug if you have
    problems (like cups...I had a hard time moving from bsd printing to cups
    in mandrake for some reason...go figure :-) )
