I'm making progress in getting my Linux box connected to my Windows network
    (newbie alert!).

I can now surf the web from Linux and view my Linux web server from windows.

After adding my IP's to the HOST ALLOW I can now actually see my Linux group
    from windows.

    BUT....

When I click on my Linux group I am prompted for a username/password. I
type in my Linux accounts but no luck (not even with root).

I have security set up as user, and set a username map to map my nt accounts
    to Linux accounts.

In my smb.log I notice that:

    [2001/03/15 23:32:22, 0] lib/username.c:map_username(87)
      can't open username map /user/bin/samba_username_map

    The file exists there.

And later in the log is:

    [2001/03/15 23:32:27, 0] passdb/smbpass.c:startsmbfilepwent_internal(87)
startsmbfilepwent_internal: unable to open file /etc/smbpasswd. Error was
    No such file or directory

And there is no such file as /etc/smbpasswd on my box.

Attached are my smb.conf, username map, and log files.

    Thanks in advance,

    Lee
