That's pretty funny, I was just checking my Luni-bin(TM) to write about the
good times I just had getting Deb onto the 701c I just aquired;) There were
a couple of sites without much detail that described(again without much
detail) how to get Slack3.0 on it, but that's all I could find. I'm about
    to write-up a pretty solid how-to, possibly resulting in a home-rolled 701c
    distro.
I do NOT have a CDROM for the thing, so had to sit through DLing and
    installing 17 floppies(blech)! I then apt-got(or is it apt-getted?) X and
GNOME and it works just swell. Although I think I'll probably use BlackBox
    due to the lighter nature.
One really funny thing I tried and would not recommend...
    (a little precurser, the 701c that I have is 83MhzP w/16M RAM, 1M vidcard
and 830MB HDD :) DON'T apt-get mozilla! I only did it to test this things
veracity, but it took 22mins (I'm NOT kidding) before I could type-in a URL!
LOL oh man what great museum pieces! Next project is Deb on the MacIIcs I
    also aquired recently... ;)
BTW, can anyone suggest a good, lightweight browser? I don't have Qt
installed, and probably wont for spacial reasons.
