    While agreeing with almost everything you said, I think you skipped the
    important point that the format of the separate files differs from the
    composite file. I may be misremembering, but the change is simply dropping
    the first field, which identifies the service in the composite file.

    Check your docs on this, folks, it's been a fair while since I had to mess
    with this.
