    I had this problem with my voodoo2's. What I had to do was recompile Mesa
    and Glide. When you install Glide, there are some demos that it installs
    to test out Glide. Run these, and if they work, you know that Glide
    works.

    Next, these programs are probably using Mesa's software renderer. What
    you need to do is find the 3dfx Mesa library you compiled (or got from an
    RPM or something), and copy it into the game directory. The games will
    then use 3Dfx's OpenGL instead of software.

    Another option would be to make sure you have the 3Dfx DRI modules running
    in X. I've not had any experience with this, so you're on your own here
    unless someone else here has any ideas.
