My best luck with my Voodoo 3000 AGP has been with XFree86 3.3.6 It has been my
understanding that the 3500 had some kind of issue, but I don't remember the details.
As for XFree86 4.0, It doesn't have Glide2 support, only Glide3. Depending on what
game you are trying to play, you are pretty much screwed with the voodoo card and 4.0
(UT is a perfect example).
