    Nope -

    Under Windows, Macs - the server offers full desk top. a-la PC Anywhere.
    Under Unix and Linux - Xservers are started and these are offered to the
    clients.

    The clients running on Windows, Macs, Unix, Linux, Palms, WEb Browers
    with Java... display as much of the page that they wish to see.

    I normally run my servers in 800x600 mode and my client machines in
    1200x786 - so I can have a window and a full screen of the desk top.

    also linux unix clients can share a comman server so thing in a classroom
    setting all students and see the same time.
