HP Deskjets have always worked for me. Last week, best buy had a sale on a
HP 600 series at $69 with rebate, and a HP 842C at $89 with rebate.

Caveat Emptor:
I just checked ebay for cartridges and ouch!!!!!!! 40-50 buck each.
you'll save some $$$$ if you go with a well known name brand more for
the printer,less for the cartridges(nothing wrong with lexmark
though.....except the cartridge price).
I'm sure they're good printers, but for that price they better last a
lifetime or blow my socks off with quality printouts.
