I am by no means an expert at this, but I have had luck with Immunix as a
DMZ placed machine. It is RH6.2 but is compiled with "stackguard" to help
reduce the exploits of buffer overflows. I have this machine running as an
external web server for a friends company, and while we haven't put it to
full use, so far it's been fine.
From what I understand about RH, stay away from the .0 releases for external
machines. If anyone could comment on that please, because I'm not quite
sure.
